Elaine and Jim – will you please send this out to anyone you may have contacted regarding the Cap City Classic.  We feel terrible about this, but it is out of our control…

The 34th Capital City Classic scheduled for February 22nd – 24th, 2013 at the Holiday Inn Midtown in Austin Texas must be rescheduled due to circumstances beyond our control.  The hotel just inform us that they double booked the date and we are being bumped out.

The hotel is currently trying to find a suitable hotel replacement for this event, however, to date, all hotels with adequate space are not available for the February weekend.  You will be notified as soon as a new location and date has been secured.
The new date will also be posted on our website, www.austindarts.org

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this might cause but wanted you to know as quickly as possible so you could cancel any arrangements you might have made.

Thank you for your understanding and patience.

Krista Hutchens
CADA President

Phil Taylor secured a ‘sweet’ 16th World Championship at the age of 52 – another phenomenal achievement from a phenomenal darts star!

Taylor, who is now closing in on an incredible 100 ‘Major’ titles, proved that age is no barrier as he beat talented Dutch youngster Michael van Gerwen by 7 sets to 4 at the Alexandra Palace.

#darts The VCDA loses a great leader and friend...

Di hits the Bull for the win against Priestly
Di uses the Bull to win against her favorite pro darter D. Pristley
in his 2009 exhibition at the Bench Warmer

You have left us too soon...

Dear VCDA League Members and Friends, It is with a heavy heart that I must inform you that VCDA President Diana Needham passed away at home Saturday morning. Diana was President of the VCDA for more than a decade and her contributions to the VCDA and darts in general will be sorely missed. As will the enthusiasm and order that she so diligently brought to the VCDA Board of Directors. For the time being I will be assuming the role of President of the VCDA until we can find a suitable candidate for the job. For all of you that knew Diana we will keep you updated in the near future about any services, I ask that you all keep Jay and Clem in your thoughts as they are going through a very difficult time. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the league please feel free to contact me at (805) 312-4375.
We are planning a league memorial service, and will share details as soon as possible.
Thank You
Bryan Gosser
