Hampshire v Cheshire British Inter-County Fixture - Monday, 27 April 2009

Get in there Hampshire!!!! Not only have the mighty blues secured Premiership status, they have also picked up the Ladies A title after a superb result against Cheshire at the weekend.

With the general consensus outside the team seeming to be that Hampshire were going to get battered by Cheshire, and subsequently find themselves relegated to Division One, it was great to see the side dig in and produce a fantastic result. Credit has to go to the Ladies teams who walked away with 10 points from a possible 12, but there were also some great performances from the men.

DARTS: Wiltshire throw the win away

WILTSHIRE kept their hopes of promotion alive with an 18-18 away draw against Leicestershire in their latest British Darts Organisation Division Four inter-county championship match, writes DAVE EATON.

But the result could have been so much better as Wiltshire led 17-15 with four games in the men’s A match remaining.

However, they then lost three-in-a-row and had to rely on Bob Phillips to win the last to snatch a draw overall. (full article...)
