Darts: Only the ladies shine as Gwynedd lose to Worcestershire

WORCESTERSHIRE 23 GWYNEDD 13

BRITISH INTER-COUNTY DARTS CHAMPIONSHIP

THE Women’s B side were Gwynedd’s only winners when they visited Redditch for their fifth match of the season in the British Inter-County Championship.

Following two consecutive home wins the team travelled to the Midlands with high hopes of another positive result.

However, the opening day proved disastrous for the Welsh county as they collected only six points from a possible 18.

Four of those points came from the Women’s B, Helen Jones, Jane Brownley (Caernarfon), Paula Jones (Pwllheli) and Tracy Jones victorious.

Paul Hankin (Talysarn) and Bethesda’s Meirion Jones were the only winners for the Men’s B on an awful day for the rest of the side. (full article...)
