  1. PLAYOFF ELIGIBILITY: Please remember that all players must have played in a minimum of 3 regular season matches in order to qualify for the playoffs.  Players who have been deemed ineligible by the league will have their names appear in italics on the MMDL Stats Website.  If you have any questions about this policy, please contact your Area Director or League Commissioner.
  2. Please remember to remind your sponsor about the possibility for Thursday night playoff matches and check their schedule for conflicts with holiday parties or other events.
  3. Winning captains - DON'T FORGET - report playoff match results immediately following your win, call or email your area director as instructed on the playoff schedule sheet.
  4. Driving Directions to Opponent's Sponsor are available from the MMDL Stats Website. Note: May not contain every sponsor, if you don't find yours, try mapquest.com or Google Maps.
  5. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS regarding the playoffs, please contact your Area Director.  ADs are extremely busy during the playoffs and have many other captains to consider, so please be patient and make sure you have all of your information and questions at hand when contacting them. AD contact info is listed on your area playoff schedule or click here.
  6. Playoff Results will be reported on the MMDL website after each round is completed.
  7. MATCH REPORT TIP: For a match report, since these are not mailed into the league, you may use an extra blank regular season match report (separate the three carbons so you have three copies to use), or just a blank piece of paper.  To download a blank match report, click here.

sewa-darts.com newsletter... September

As this year a very important WDF tournament will take place in the USA – in Charlotte – we thought this would be worth a newsletter and some special contributions.
So you can find now an SEWA a short article about the history of the tournament and the American successes so far – you can find it here:
http://sewa-darts.com/(tournament article)

The most important components of a tournament of course are the players – one of our SEWA Generals - General Steve Brown well know as Chunky and both ADO official and member of the American World Cup Team – suggested himself as victim for an interview.
And he had to answer quite a lot of questions not only about this tournament and the ADO but about darts in the US in general, about his youth in the UK, about practice….
Hopefully you´ll enjoy it as much as I did asking.
You can find it here: http://sewa-darts.com(Steve Brown interview)

For me from the outside an American national team just would not be complete without another player – though not a SEWA member she from time to time turned up in the ladies forum – I am sure you all know her much better then I do: Stacy Bromberg who is this time for the sixth time part of the World Cup Team. She like Steve kindly agreed to be asked by me a lot of questions - some of course about ladies darts – and she of course has a lot to tell us. This interview will be published soon exclusively on SEWA too so stick to the article page!

And of course you´ll find all updates not only on the World Cup site: http://www.worldcupdarts2009.com
but also on SEWA in the tournaments and competition forum.

Last but not least – as it has nothing to do with the World Cup – you can now read if you are interested a review of the new book of SEWA’s Flight School General George Silberzahn. Might be you are interested – I really can only recommend Darts: Beginning to End – and you´ll be probably astonished how much SEWA you can find in it…

The design for the SEWA-Darts.Com Newsletter was kindly done by a SEWA member - by Rags = Kelly Ragland who not only designs newsletters for free.
