This was a match that saw Hedman have insurmountable struggles hitting her numbers and grouping her darts. To take noting away from Edwards, this was not Hedman at her #2 seed best. Well done to Edwards as she moves on to face Gulliver in the Woman's final on Friday.

Edwards started the first leg with a 180, but the leg ended with both players having much double trouble, but Edwards held on to take the leg. In the second leg Edwards took it with much more efficent finishing, and in the 3rd leg she took out 121 on the bull to take the leg and the set.

DETA IS A WORLD BEATER!

Hedman defeats legend Taylor in 13-dart finish.

It was the icing on the cake for darts fans packed into Rileys, Cowley, for the opening of a new Darts Zone. World champion Phil Taylor had been entertaining the crowd with a series of exhibition matches against local players when up stepped surprise late entrant Deta Hedman.
