Darts: Foelas Arms stay top of Gwynedd league

FOELAS Arms’ hold on top spot in the Gwynedd County Darts Men’s Superleague looks secured following two wins in a week, as the fight now develops between six teams for second place.

After a 7-1 home win over Dolgarrog in a re-arranged match, the Pentrefoelas side, who are 19 points clear at the summit, came away with a 5-3 result at Wynnes Arms. Rob Jones won the final set for the visitors, after earlier victories from Clive Davies, Alun Pritchard (23.48), Warren Green and Ifor Davies with a 26.84 average which included a 154 checkout. Darts: Foresters beat Penrhynside in county league

IAN BARRY was the star for struggling Foresters with a last set 22.45 average to ensure his side claimed only their second win of the season in the Gwynedd Men’s Darts Superleague.

Jon Aston (23.48), Craig Billance, Gerwyn Jones and Nigel Jones were the other men on the mark for the Holyhead throwers in their 5-3 home success against Penrhynside.

Captain Mark Nellist, Mal Mullin and Rob Sumberland were on the winning note for the travellers. (full article...)

DARTS: Round up Gwynedd County Darts Organisation Men's Super League

CAERNARFON Town Football supporters club enjoyed a 7 – 1 home win against the Twthill sees them closed gap at the top of Gwynedd Mens Superleague, as league leaders Foelas Arms were held to draw at home by reigning champions Penrhyn Arms.

Carwyn Moss Jones with a 23.12 average lead the supporters club to a well earned victory as they showed no mercy to struggling town rivals.

Gethin Lewis (22.54), Alwyn Hughes (21.78), Trefor Lloyd (21.47), Steve Jones, John Longshaw and Graham Ducklin were the team's other winners after Dylan Williams with a 22.43 effort had won the opening set for the Twthill side. (full article...)
