The next round of Floyd Mayweather-Manny Pacquiao negotiations could be over before they start.
Mayweather reiterated his stance that he's offering the Filipino star a flat purse to fight him.
"I'm not budging. $40 million is what you are getting. Either you take it or you leave it. Like I've said before, Manny Pacquiao needs Floyd Mayweather. Floyd Mayweather don't need Manny Pacquiao," Mayweather said during the premiere of "Floyd Mayweather: Speaking Out" on HBO.
"My offer is what it is. It won't change."

Hours after the president of HBO Sports said he had negotiated with both sides in an effort to make a Manny Pacquiao-Floyd Mayweather Jr. mega-fight on Nov. 13, Mayweather's lead adviser again denied the claim.
"Floyd is his own boss, calling his own shots," Leonard Ellerbe told The Times on Monday night.
HBO Sports President Ross Greenburg said in a prepared statement earlier Monday that he indeed had discussed the fight with representatives of both Pacquiao and Mayweather in an effort to make a bout that would match the repeat fighter of the year from the Philippines with unbeaten Mayweather.
The mediation failed, and Pacquiao proceeded to a replacement fight against Antonio Margarito on Nov. 13 at a site to be determined. The bout will be for the vacant WBS super-welterweight title, possibly Pacquiao's record eighth weight-division world title.

Promoter Bob Arum says he has found an opponent and a date for Manny Pacquiao’s next fight and although no site has been named, it doesn’t look like it will be at Cowboys Stadium.
According to Arum, Pacquiao will fight Antonio Margarito on Nov. 13 for a vacant 154-pound championship. The site will be either Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena, which can handle about 17,000 fans, or a 22,000-seat arena in Monterrey, Mexico.

Pacquiao camp shifts focus to Clottey
With his fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr. all but off, Manny Pacquiao has instead agreed to fight Joshua Clottey (click for more about Clottey) on March 13, Pacquiao's camp said Friday.
Clottey's manager told ESPN.com's Dan Rafael that he spoke to Pacquiao's promoter, Top Rank's Bob Arum, on Friday about the fight's details but would only confirm a "seven-figure" purse.
