Darts players help lift town's economy

ONE of the darts world's top tournaments provided an out-of-season lift to Bridlington's tourism trade.

Thousands flocked to the resort to watch some of the world's best players battling it out at the Spa.

For the past two years, the Winmau World Masters darts championships have been held at Bridlington's Leisure World.

But this year the British Darts Organisation's premier tournament returned to the town's Spa following its £19.5m refurbishment.
