John Lowe Local Exhibition, Live TV quality Live Stream! #darts

The John Lowe L.A. Exhibition was a great afternoon of fun, Evan Waterman and Bones (John Ronnholm) from Darts Around the World and L. David Irete of Triple Twenty Productions hosted a wonderful event. This event was streamed live over the internet, and had TV quality productions with multiple cameras and camera operators along with Evan and Bones doing live podcast commentary, Irete producing / directing and Adam 'Thorn' Smith posting updates on facebook and dartsunderground.com  The results was a Pro Exhibition the likes of which have never been seen before in the US and maybe Canada! On top of all of that, we had some wins by some of our local players who also threw some impressive darts (VCDA league member Joey Burt and Eric Zarlenga and Jose Belonio of LADA). 

The feature match was a best 2 of 3 match with Chris Lim facing John Lowe. John Lowe won the cork, but Chris started with strong scoring and won the leg. John struck back taking the second leg which brought the match to a deciding leg. In this leg John Lowe started strong and was first to the double to take the match. It was a great way to finish a wonderful afternoon of darts! Thanks to John Lowe for treating us all to a wonderful afternoon of darts entertainment! Tomorrow will be the MLD John Lowe open. Hello VCDA members and Friends,

We would like everyone to know about some darting events that are coming your way in the Ventura County area. We will have our traditional Charity Challenge Food Drive at Sam's Saloon and the Bench Warmer. The goal will be to for each location to out collect the other in this Food Share Food Drive... bragging rights are at stake here, and benefit to those who are less fortunate during the holiday season. Also Bobby Cobb will be hosting his Annual Toys for Tots toy drive at the Bench Warmer. Details for both events are on the fliers that are attached to this email and posted on the events page of the VCDA

The first Sunday of the month Blind Draw will also be happening as normal at the Bench Warmer, but for something truly unique please keep an eye on the VCDA website for information on the John Lowe Pro Dart Exhibition that will be happening the second weekend of December in Thousand Oaks, I know that the details are sketchy at this time but things are developing quickly and this will be worth your while.

Minute Man Dart League invites all dart players to An Evening with 3 X World Champion John Lowe. Mr. Lowe will be traveling across the United States on tour in December. Come join us for a chance to play darts against John and enjoy hearing about his experiences as a world class pro. There will be raffles drawn the night of the event to play Mr. Lowe along with other chances to play via 4 Local Luck of the Draws.

Mr. Lowe will play 16 matches versus local shooters. Eight ( people will be drawn from the audience for a chance to go head to head with our visiting World Champion.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS

From the North: Take Route 93 South to Exit 15 (JFK/Columbia Road). Turn left at the end of the exit ramp onto Columbia Road. Go into the rotary and take the first right (Morrissey Boulevard). Drive ahead on Morrissey Blvd for 2 miles, then take a right at the main intersection onto Freeport Street. IBEW Local 103 is approximately 1/4 mile ahead on your right.

From the South: Take Route 3 North to the Expressway (Route 93 North). Take Route 93 North to Exit 13 (Freeport Street). Turn left at the end of the exit ramp onto Victory Road, then take the first right onto Freeport Street. IBEW Local 103 is approximately 1/2 mile ahead on your right.

From the West: Take the Mass Pike (Route 90) East to its end. Follow signs for Route 93 (Expressway) South. Take Route 93 South and follow directions From the North, above.

Now the Tuesday night at the minute is available if anyone is interested within the Kerry cork limerick border area. We are using the Exhibition to raise money for Glen Wilkie who is syffering from cebral plasy glen is 6 yrs old was born with this condition at the moment he goes to newcastle west one day a week for 1 hr therapy this is not enough we have taken him to dublin for botox injections but it seems we were doing more harm than good there is a place in mungret called first step there he will get 2 hrs therapy and one hr in a specail machine the cost to go there is 150 00 euros per visit he needs at least 2 visits per week for 2 to 3 yrs we are trying to do fund raising so if you can help us in any way we would be very thankful

Teenager Josh has a dream night as he beats 'The Power' #darts

The 14-year-old, who saw off the best of the emerging local talent to represent the Steve Brown Darts Academy at the official opening of the Rileys Darts Zone in Bristol, beat the 15-times world champion in a leg of 501.
Josh, who played under the nickname 'The Legend Killer', lived up to his moniker by beating Taylor with a 15-dart finish to hand 'The Power' his only defeat on the night.

FORMER world champion Andy ‘The Viking’ Fordham is set to take part in a darts exhibition in Wishaw next month.
The popular darts star will be competing in the event at the New Cecil Bar, Wishaw on Monday, November 8.
Former Motherwell and Rangers goalkeeper Andy ‘The Goalie’ Goram was influential in persuading the 2004 world champion to take part and is looking forward to seeing him back on the podium again.

#darts (UK) Nationwide tour of clubs by eight greats

Eight of the world’s best players are darting into Rileys clubs around the country to open 17 new Darts Zones.

BDO World Champion Martin Adams has been booked for the tour along with Adrian Lewis, Terry Jenkins, Tony O’Shea, Colin Lloyd, Kevin Painter and former ladies’ World Champion Anastasia Dobromyslova.
