Bob Anderson Exhibition #Darts Anyone interested in planning a North American Pro Darts Exhibition Tour?
I've heard that Bob Anderson is back from his surgery and is on the darts exhibition circuit again. I'm thinking we all should work together and put together a North American Exhibition Tour for Bob. If there is interest on working on this please post a comment or click my email link here on the blog. I can also be PM'ed on any of the darts forums I participate on.

#darts Bob Anderson - knee replacement
After taking a short break from darts, spending a few weeks with family and friends in Tenerife, Bob Anderson, The Limestone Cowboy, will go into hospital on Monday 27 September for a replacement left knee.
Bob, 62, who retired from the PDC tour in 2008, has suffered for many years with chronic knee pain, following cartilage removal after footballing injuries in his youth.

He hopes to be in the Waterside Suite of Weston super Mare hospital for just 3 days, and will then recuperate at home in front of the Ryder Cup.
Bob will return to his darting exhibitions from December 2010, and any enquiries about these, after dinner speaking or any other bookings can be made via bobanderson180@yahoo.co.uk

Bob's still a winner with the arrows
BATTLING Bob Anderson has seen a broken arm, leg and a serious back operation ruin three sport careers - yet he is still a winner at 61.
The Limestone Cowboy, crowned world darts champ 21 years ago, has called for arrows bosses to set up an official seniors tour after winning the veterans League of Legends last year.
It would enable the Somerset player to bring to a close his rollercoaster, but somewhat jinxed, sporting career. (full article...)

Bob's charity bullseye
DARTS icon, former world champion Bob Anderson, will be tackling pub-goers in a charity challenge this evening.
Bob Anderson will take on a dozen players at the Old Manor Inn in Worle to raise money for the Weston-based Vision North Somerset charity.
Charity spokesman Sue Potepa said: "We're hoping to raise thousands on the night. Bob has been such a help to us and darts is a popular game in Weston."
The event will start at 8pm, and sweepstake tickets for a chance to play Bob, priced at £2.50, are available from Sue on 01934 419393. (story source...)

Darts icon aims for Weston fund-raiser
EX-WORLD darts champion Bob Anderson will be taking on Weston throwers for charity next month.
A dozen players will tackle Bob at the Old Manor Inn in Worle on March 14 to raise money for the Weston-based Vision North Somerset charity.
Those wanting to play Clevedon-based Bob can bid for two tickets on Ebay, which includes two three-course meals and wine at the Old Manor Inn.
Bob was world champion in the late 1980s during the famous darting era of Eric Bristol, John Lowe and Jocky Wilson. He still plays in competitions and was recently playing on Sky TV.
Sue Potepa, spokesperson for Vision North Somerset, said she is delighted to have such a big darting name to help them raise money.
She said: "We're hoping to raise thousands on the night. Bob has been such a help to us and darts is a popular game in Weston.
"We're now getting round all the pubs to drum up support. We have a sweepstake for six players and an auction on the night."

Eric Bristow and Bob Anderson may have been crowned world darts champions in their time, but they didn’t have to compete against members of the retail property world
Some of Henderson’s clients showed the pair how it should be done the other day at the Henderson UK Retail Warehouse Fund’s darts championship, which took place at the Princess Alice pub in London’s East End. Playing 301 rather than 501, Aidan Farrell, director in Jones Lang LaSalle’s out-of-town retail team, and Henderson’s Ceri Griffiths both beat Bristow, the ‘Crafty Cockney’.
Savills director Jaime Dunster, meanwhile, broke a table in his excitement at beating Anderson, the ‘Limestone Cowboy’.
The winner was Jonathan Salt, partner at Harvey Spack Field, while Michael Neal, director of retail warehousing at Henderson, was runner-up. They celebrated with a curry in Brick Lane. 16:49 | 22.01.09

BOB ANDERSON: None, really. I'm afraid I couldn't really get excited about the News Of The World. Best of 3 legs from 8 feet.
From Nicolai, Germany : Hi Bob, I got 2 questions, first do you still have something to prove to yourself or to others as far as you're concerned, or is that pretty much resolved? And second Is there anything that you used to do on the oche that you now say, "I can't do that anymore." for example very difficult finishes?

Eight pub darts players have won the chance to test their skills against the sport's legends.
Five men and three women will line up against former world champions John Lowe and Eric Bristow, as well as Bob Anderson and the flamboyant Bobby George in an evening at Witney's Langdale Hall.
They won their sporting opportunity thanks to local darts fan Colin Smith who is repeating a charity evening which attracted about 200 people last year.

Cowboy: I'm playing better than ever
League of Legends champion Bob Anderson insists he is playing better darts now than when he won the World title in 1988.

Bob Of All Trades...Master Of Darts! IF a modern-day author were to look to write a second 'This Sporting Life' novel, they could do much worse than looking back over the career of Bob Anderson. The 59-year-old has enjoyed considerable success in three different sports since his days as a schoolboy javelin champion, and has even gained a single-figure golfing handicap in recent years.

Howdy Pardners !!! What a night at The Dorchester in London for the PDPA Awards Dinner. Great night, but I wouldn't like to have it as my local! £7 for a small bottle of beer!!!
The evening went well and it was good to meet and socialise with so many with whom I usually compete. Great to see Cliff and Carol Lazarenko, and hope it's not too long before we see Cliff back to full fitness. I was especially pleased to see Ritchie Gardner there, honoured along with the rest of the first 14 players to start the PDC, me included.
