Elaine and Jim – will you please send this out to anyone you may have contacted regarding the Cap City Classic.  We feel terrible about this, but it is out of our control…

The 34^th Capital City Classic scheduled for February 22^nd – 24^th, 2013 at the Holiday Inn Midtown in Austin Texas must be rescheduled due to circumstances beyond our control.  The hotel just inform us that they double booked the date and we are being bumped out.

The hotel is currently trying to find a suitable hotel replacement for this event, however, to date, all hotels with adequate space are not available for the February weekend.  You will be notified as soon as a new location and date has been secured.  

The new date will also be posted on our website, www.austindarts.org

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this might cause but wanted you to know as quickly as possible so you could cancel any arrangements you might have made.

The hotel has extended the ability to register for the Capital City Classic block, at the Austin Crowne Plaza, up until 19 February.

If you still need to make a reservation, you will need to use the code "CIT." 800-227 -6963. After you do so, please e-mail Jim Walderon.

If you have made a reservation, already, and have not notified Jim Walderon, please do so by e-mailing him at

It is important that you let Jim know, as we have already had several room nights that have not been credited to our room-night count.

30th Capital City Classic - February-Austin

Just wanted to send out a 2 week reminder - January is closing fast and the Capital City Classic is that first full week-end of February - 6-8 to be exact. Please make your reservation, as soon as possible, if you have not done so. The rooms are $89/night. We also have several additional rooms at SpringHill, just across the parking lot.

We are all looking forward to having you come and help us celebrate 30 years of the Capital City Classic. Please make sure that you are refering to the latest flyer. I have attached the current one.

Here's hoping to see all of you at the 30th Annual Capital City Classic, here in Austin, Texas. I have attached a flyer. We are at a new hotel, the Austin Airport Marriott South. It is on the northbound side of IH 35, just South of the Hwy 71/Ben White
Blvd. flyovers. Directions are on the flyer. Please note that the rates are $89. They also have covered parking garage, safes and mini-fridges in the rooms. They will also be running dart specials in the main bar after 10:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights.
