#darts New Blind Draw in Sunnyvale, CA Friday Nights

Where: Beefy's Cabin 693 Grape Ave. Sunnyvale, CA (El Camino/Grape)
Start: 8:30 PM
Format: Steel-tip Chicago style Luck of the draw
$100 Added with 12 player min.
$11 per player($1 to mystery out)
408-736-7141

*This used to be a great blind draw that was held weekly that Tracy and Mike ran. About 4 years ago the tournament folded for reasons I still do not understand. This was the best steel-tip weekly tournament period. Players would come from all over the Bay. 28 to 36 players was not uncommon every week. The new owner would like to see steel tip darts supported with this tournament again.

#darts Dartoid's World :|: Column 44 :: Anderson's the new star in town. (But keep an eye on John Part.)

Anderson's the new star in town. (But keep an eye on John Part.)

The Old Dart Coach likes to stay with a routine. He’s living proof that “you can’t teach an old dog new tricks.” One reason may be because an “old dog” doesn’t want to do tricks. But that’s beside the point...

The ODC also likes to say that the month of May in America provides sport with the best songs of the year. It starts with the Kentucky Derby and the University of Louisville band playing “My Old Kentucky Home” and ends with the Jim Nabors singing “Back Home Again in Indiana” at the Indy 500.

In the world of the PDC every TV event in any month starts with the players having their own “walk-on” music. Gary Anderson uses “Jump Around” by a band called House of Pain. During the playing of the 2009 Grand Prix of Darts in Dublin Anderson claimed Adrian Lewis was jumping around during the playing of their match. Lewis took the match 3 sets to 2. Anderson’s message to Lewis? “Pay backs are a bitch” which isn’t a song but could be next time Anderson makes an entrance.

Global #Darts Interview with Colin Lloyd

Colin Lloyd is to be sure one of the best-known players PDC Circuit and as a Top 16 players takes part in all Major tournaments though he all in all slid down the rankings a little bit in the last few years.
Lloyd plays since 1999 in the PDC and played in all Major tournaments over the years, even Premier League. He won two of them: 2004 the World Grand Prix in Dublin, 2005 the World Matchplay in Blackpool. He didn't play the World Championship with a lot of success, only in 2002 he reached the semi-finals, where he lost to Peter Manley. He often reached the last rounds of the Pro Tour Events and more then once had to play Phil Taylor in the finals...and lost. Between 2005 and 2007 and only with a short break he was the Worlds number 1. Today he sits on rank 13 of the PDC Order of Merit.

DISASTER RELIEF OPEN VII #Dart Tournament

R.A.C.E. is deployed and on the way to Joplin MO. F4 tornadoes have went through and many are dead and hundreds are missing. More tornadoes are reported to be on the way to the area. R.A.C.E. is an all volunteer, non government funded Search & Rescue/Disaster Response team from right here in Central Ohio. We don't usually leave the state due to finances, but we will go where we are asked. this activation will deplete a majority of the teams resources, if not all of them.

Please keep that in mind when you are deciding whether to support our upcoming Disaster Relief Open $1000 Guaranteed Dart Tournament on June 11th at Ledo's. Please support your local team NOW if you can, or wait till the tournament. Anything is useful.

If you want to help now contact me at indoortemp@yahoo.com, I just has lasik surgery in both eyes, so I can not go with the team this time. Otherwise, I hope to see you at the tournament in a couple weeks.

Diary of a (slightly annoyed) #Darts Player! - Other Sports - Sussex Express

POLITICS... I’m not a fan! But we are lucky enough to live in a place that gives everyone the right to do what they want, just so long as they don’t break any rules, writes Andy Relf.

You are probably thinking I’ve lost the plot here somewhat, but don’t worry, I haven’t.

Actually I’m still the same person that I’ve always been... I don’t think that I’ve changed much over the years, and I’m happy that I’ve got a great wide circle of friends.

What has this got to do with darts? I started out back in the early 1990’s playing in the local leagues with my friends, and my nature led me to wanting to try to see just how far I can take it – I think they call it ambition!
