Ventura County Corporate Games draw near-record participation

Corporate Games draw near-record participation

* By Anne Kallas
Despite — or maybe because of — a faltering economy, the 21st Ventura Corporate Games opened Wednesday with 66 teams competing for bragging rights in 30 sporting events under sunny skies with a warm breeze blowing off the ocean on the Ventura Promenade.

“We’re just one short of the record number of companies, 67, that have participated in the games. It shows that companies are finding a way to participate

Hey there everyone. If anyone is in the NJ area this Saturday, April 10th, and
wants to participate in a worthy cause, please stop by.

Darts for Dreams 5

VFW 3525, 77 Christine Way, Hamilton NJ 08619
Doors open at noon, darts start at 1 PM until 7 PM or later.

Details at www.njdarts.com/gtedl

This isn't a bracket style tournament. You can come and go as you please.
Admission is $10, and then $5 for each entry. Each entry is 51 darts for high
score. The high score each hour wins a prize. There is also a four person and
youth event.

The Greater Trenton Dart League, along with all the participants the past four
years have raised over $43,000 and we hope to continue this year with a big
donation. So again, if you're in the area, come out and support a worthy cause.

Lloyd thought about throwing darts away

FORMER world number one darts player Colin Lloyd says he thought about quitting when he suffered a lengthy slump in form.

The former builder, 36, says he was stung by criticism by commentators and ex-players as he slid down the PDC rankings between 2006 and 2009 and wondered if he should give up the sport all together. (full story at the link...) Wednesday, March 17, 2010, 12:11
