SHOWBIZ DARTS is a brand new series on cable and satellite games entertainment channel Challenge which will not only feature two of the best known characters in darts – ANDY ‘The Viking’ FORDHAM and BOBBY ‘King of Bling’ GEORGE – but will also be staged at ‘the home of world darts’ Lakeside Country Club, Frimley Green.
Eight celebrities will be split into two teams of four, captained by Fordham and George, and they will then compete on the famous stage that annually hosts the most prestigious Championship in world darts, the British Darts Organisation’s Lakeside World Professional Darts Championships.
The huge presence of Martin ‘Let’s Play Darts’ Fitzmaurice, the best known stage host in world darts, and top referee George ‘The Puppy’ Noble will help re-create the authentic tournament atmosphere of Lakeside.
The series air exclusively on Challenge in October and be hosted by the National Lottery’s Sarah Cawood."
