CUMBRIA-BASED Alan Warriner-Little plans to become a full-time darts player in a bid to cash in on the sport’s rocketing levels of prize money.
Warriner-Little, 45, who lives at Crosby near Maryport, is ranked 14 in the world but is only a part-time player as he works four days a week as a drugs counsellor in Lancaster.
But “The Iceman,” who did not take up darts until he was 21, believes he could make a living from darts as it enjoys a global boom, though he does not want to give up entirely on his work with drug addicts."
