The upstairs of the ANAVETS Hall on Tranquille Road looks like any veterans’ hangout.
Crowds of oldtimers circle around tables, hunched over glasses of golden ale, while the chief beer slinger surveys the scene from behind an old wooden bar.

The median age drops to about 16, and instead of everyone shooting back sudsy swill, they are all shooting darts.
That is because five Westsyde secondary students in the Kamloops Youth Darts Program are busy practising for an upcoming trip to Lachine, Que. — the location of the Canadian National Youth Darts Competition. BCNG Portals Page:Canadian National Youth Darts Competition
