Botswana Relies On Youth in Regional Darts Tourney

A 25-strong Botswana darts team left for Swaziland yesterday for the Zone VI tournament. Before departure, coach Kegolotswe Morutwa said that they hope to win medals, especially in the youth section.



Botswana will participate in doubles and singles for boys and girls; and men and women. The country hosted the tournament last year and finished fourth after the girls' doubles team of Refilwe Morutwa and Masego Kegorogile secured a silver medal.

..... coach Morutwa feels that the youth team is better equipped this year. "We have had coaching clinics twice a month in Mahalapye. We have also been fortunate that most of the players in the team are based in Francistown and so they could train together and bond unlike in the past,"
