Hurricane Katrina Recovery Effort

Hello,
I'm sure that you have all had some time to think about the hardship and destruction that was caused by Hurricane Katrina, and maybe you have thought about what should be done about it. In our darts league we have started to discuss plans for a few benefit tourneys as well as brainstorm other ideas on how to help with the recovery effort in the Gulf Coast area of the United States.

So far some of the unaffiliated in-house leagues I'm in have donated funds from the monies that were to be used for banquets, prizes, and trophies. The bar that sponsors my team has set up collection jars so that patrons may contribute to the recovery effort as well. The organization that we have chosen to support in the recovery effort is Habitat for Humanity International.

I am certain that everyone has an organization that they would like to support in this effort so I will encourage you to contact them and make your desire to help known.

Also be on the lookout for Aid Scams and only use reputable organizations. http://www.fema.gov/
has a list of ways to help.

Please support the Moorpark Billiards Tourney in any way you can!
