#Darts honours up for grabs

There are very few opportunities in sport in the Caribbean where it is possible to leap from relative obscurity to compete against the best in the world, take a share of a prize fund of one million pounds sterling and show off your talent to a live audience of 3 000 and a global TV audience of millions.

Yet this is the prize on offer to the darts players of the region when they compete in The Carib Beer Caribbean & South American Masters at Solidarity House on November 6.

Diary of a #Darts Player: Winter Garden Wonderland

A busy week of darts for everyone in Sussex this week, with the re-launch of the Eastbourne Open, or the Eastbourne Classic as it is now known. Originally the competition was run by a company called JR Darts of Middlesex, and was a PDC ranking tournament. However, the PDC decided that their tour competitions were to have a minimum prize fund, which was something that they could not meet.

Now with the England Darts Organisation at the helm, the Winter Garden opened its doors for a weekend of darts action once again...  more at:...ussexexpress.co.uk

2010 #Darts Clan Challenge

This past weekend we held our Gold Coast Shootout III Dart Tournament, and one of our latest ideas, the Highland Games Darts Clan Challenge,  got a little press in the local newspaper.

Clans vie at darts

This year the Ventura County Dart Association, which is presenting Gold Coast Shootout III in conjunction with the Highland Games, has added the Darts Clan Challenge. The 70 clans that have gathered for the games are invited to form three-person dart-throwing teams to earn awards and bragging rights.

Our tournament is part of the Seaside Highland Games http://www.seaside-games.com/ so the event is geared towards drawing non-dart players into the Dart Hall, helping them to understand more about the game of darts, and get them to compete.

Clan Blair won the first "Darts Clan Challenge" and will be listed on the perpetual plaque.

Episode 7- The Thorn Report

We spoke with a rather jovial travel blogger this week who happens to have a talent for locating dart boards in rare places such as Lake Titicaca, located between Bolivia and Peru.  He explains the meaning of 4 for 1 beer sales at the foot of Machu Picchu as well as one of his favorite finds, an open-air bar on the beaches of Antigua.

Caven's Dublin Delight #darts players championship

JAMIE CAVEN won his second Players Championship of the year, edging out Ronnie Baxter 6-5 in Sunday's final at the Citywest Hotel in Dublin.

The Derby ace followed up his victory in Canada in August with the narrowest of wins against Baxter to take his fourth PDC title, and make the best possible preparation for Monday's Bodog.com World Grand Prix opener against Andy Smith.

Caven could well have suffered defeat in a dramatic final against Baxter, who missed two darts to win the deciding leg before his opponent hit double top at the first time of asking to win the £6,000 first prize.

podcast: Episode 6- American #Darts, Philadelphia and such… By Evan Waterman ⋅ September 28, 2010

We chose to step into the world of American Darts which is an entirely different game than the English darts that we all know so well. We go over board specifications, game rules, the American Baseball Darts Association and the Nationals in Pennsylvania. Speaking of Pennsylvania, we decided it to be proper to speak a bit about Philadelphia(or so we thought). Armed with a list of places to mention, we found ourselves spiraling into mayhem entering places we never thought possible.
