We don't know much more than this except he will be in a coma for several days. As he stabilizes we will have more information. to Anita, last night. She is holding up, but can tell that she needs
your thoughts and prayers, too. Today is a big step, as they continue
the weaning off of the drugs that have Chris in the induced coma. It is
a slow, very monitored process because if it is too quick, he could go
into seizures. They will be looking for signs of him recognizing objects
and faces, as well as wanting to communicate (the verbal will be
difficult due the being on respirator). I have included Charlynn's
11:30pm post.
UPDATE: 11:30 pm Thursday
We are 60
hours into the 72 hour period that is so important with head trauma.
Christopher is still listed as Critical, his vital signs are stable.
As explained in the last update, they have started to reduce the level
of medications so that he can begin to return to consciousness. This is a
delicate process and is done very slowly and deliberately, with
constant monitoring to ensure he remains stable.
Continue to lift him up in prayer for a safe return to consciousness, and for his return to full health and happiness.
Understandably, the waiting is the hardest part for all of us, family
and friends alike. I know that we (family) have been buoyed up by the
out pouring of support and prayer. It is our hope that this community of
support also find comfort through the very act of sharing the common
hopes and prayers we all have for Chris. God bless each and every one of
us as we join together to pray for Chris' full and complete healing.
Rest well all, and thank you again for your support and love.

#darts Sleepy Kramer get's a #book deal!
Anne Kramer writes about a great opportunity that has come her way, her website and articles have brought her the opportunity to write a book about darts! She writes:
LATEST NEWS!
I am going to be writing a book! Right before our trip to Canada in August, I received an email from an Editorial Director at a book publishing company in NYC. Apparently he had been reading my articles about darts, found my website to contact me, and he asked me if I would be interested in doing a book about darts. Obviously I said YES!!!! So I needed to submit an outline to him for the publisher to review to determine whether they would give me the contract to do it. Well, today I received the contract to do the book for them and needless to say, I am very excited! I feel like this is a huge opportunity to give something back to the game that we all love so much. I would like to thank each and every one of you that always took the time to offer words of encouragement to me in my writing, those who took the time to support me in all that I do, and those that are there for me as friends. All of you, and all the future players of the game are the reasons why I do the things I do to promote the game and this is now just the icing on the cake for all that effort I have given....and now it's time to get typing! The title they chose? THE ULTIMATE BOOK OF DARTS :-)

#darts Thorn Around The World, Part 27: “Delving Into Delft”
Submitted by Thorn on September 5, 2012 – 5:39 pm
When
I opened my eyes it was dark. The train was trickling down the track
with that familiar click; most passengers had disembarked somewhere
between London and the dwindling number of depots between the famous
city and the eastern coast of Great Britain. The port of Harwich –and my
overnight Stena Line ferry to Holland–was just ahead. I was about to enter my seventh country in three weeks.I was tired from two days of high speed sightseeing through Wales and England, but nothing picks me up like the thought of a boat ride. This one would be like a poor man’s cruise, including a sleeping cabin, while I floated across the English Channel to the Netherlands.

#darts #practice A Better Way to Practice
If you really want to be a quality dartplayer you really have to put your time in on the pratice board. Some folks put in hours, while others may not seem to need as much to preform well, but in the end we must find what works for us. This article by violinist Noa Kageyama highlights the importance of the nature and quality of your practice.
A Better Way to Practice
Noa Kageyama
While it may be true that there are no shortcuts to anywhere worth going, there certainly are ways of needlessly prolonging the journey. We often waste lots of time because nobody ever taught us the most effective and efficient way to practice. Whether it's learning how to code, improving your writing skills, or playing a musical instrument, practicing the right way can mean the difference between good and great.
You have probably heard the old joke about the tourist who asks a cab driver how to get to Carnegie Hall, only to be told: "Practice, practice, practice!"
I began playing the violin at age two, and for as long as I can remember, there was one question which haunted me every day.
Am I practicing enough?
What Do Performers Say?
I scoured books and interviews with great artists, looking for a consensus on practice time that would ease my conscience. I read an interview with Rubinstein, in which he stated that nobody should have to practice more than four hours a day. He explained that if you needed that much time, you probably weren't doing it right.
