Whitfield in the clear

Eric Whitfield moved a point clear at the top of the Thorney Close Premier Darts League with a 5-2 win against Adam Lafferty.
Whitfield lost the opening leg in 19 darts – including a maximum 180 – but then powered to victory with two 16-darters, an 18-darter and a 19-darter.
