SIX thousand fans enjoyed two days of televised darts at the Reebok stadium at the weekend.

The Premier Suite was home to the Budweiser UK Open Darts Tournament, which was screened live by Sky Sports.

It was the third time that the tournament has been held at the Reebok and organisers were delighted with a record-breaking turnout.

Over the two day event, 12,500 pints of Budweiser were consumed by sports fans, along with 150kg of chips and 3,750 hot-dogs and burgers.

Bolton Wanderers spokesman Danny Reuben said that attendance figures for the weekend had reached a new high.

'The crowd was 25 per cent up on previous years and the opening day saw a 50 per cent increase from last year. For the first time ever the event was complete sell-out.'

Mr Reuben said that the success of the tournament was a testament to the Reebok's success as a multi-discipline sporting and lesiure venue......

This is a fine turn out for such for a dart event!
