Consolation prize goes to young Joe

JOE Thompson, 13, was knocked out of last Saturday’s Shaw Summer Darts Classic in the first round.

But he picked himself up, dusted himself down, and went on to win the consolation knockout for first round losers.

He defeated Jack Stewart from Stockport, Tommy Ryan from Chadderton, and Isabel Wainwright from Huddersfield to take the minor prize. (full article...)
