Championship tournament held in The Cabaret Theatre May 20th & 21st; Regional qualifying events in Boston and Windsor Locks, Connecticut
UNCASVILLE, CT (February 18, 2006) – Tickets are on sale now for the finals of the 2006 World Series of Darts held in The Cabaret Theatre at Mohegan Sun Saturday, May 20th and Sunday, May 21st. Saturday ticket prices are $10.00 for the afternoon sessions and $15.00 for the evening sessions. Sunday ticket prices are $10.00 for the quarterfinals, $15.00 for the semifinals, and $20.00 for the finals. Saturday’s afternoon competition runs from 12:00pm to 6:30pm and the evening events occur from 7:30pm to 11:00pm. On Sunday, the quarterfinals will take place from 12:00 to 4:00pm, followed by the semi-finals from 5:00pm to 7:30pm. The final round will run from 8:30pm to 10:00pm.

Held in association with ESPN Original Entertainment (EOE), Michael Davies (Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, Wife Swap, 2 Minute Drill), and the Professional Dart Corporation (PDC), the 2006 World Series of Darts at Mohegan Sun is bracket-style championship tournament, pitting the world’s 16 best darts players (based on rankings by the PDC and results from the recent World Championship of Darts in Essex, England) against 16 Americans.
The championship prize will be $100,000 if the winner is an international player or $1 million if the winner is American. Twelve of the 16 American players will qualify via 12 regional tournaments with the last four players determined the night before the championship in a “last-chance” qualifying event.
