picked up his second cheque for € 1,000 in the space of two weeks in Kilkenny when he defeated Ray Campbell in the final of Shirley’s Bar annual ‘Sets and Legs’ tournament over the weekend.
Joe Coyne once again attracted a high-class entry and a full house to the Kells venue and the standard of play was of the highest order. In the quarter-finals Ray Campbell defeated Andrew Dempsey to set-up a semi-final clash with Ger Fox who had eliminated Roy Bailie in the last eight.
