A chance opportunity introduced Martin Bodden Jr to the sport of darts. One evening in the Police Club the team was one short, he was invited by Sergeant Clive Smith to join in and won his first ever game. He says after that he was hooked.
In 1987 he took the Cayman Islands Singles Championships and was the only player out of 60 who never lost a game. In the same year he played in tournaments in Jamaica and Florida.
