Senior Olympics coming to Sheridan
SHERIDAN - The Wyoming Senior Olympics will be July 26-28 in and around Sheridan. The games will attract hundreds of people from all over the state and all over the country who come to compete seriously or participate for fun in more than 20 athletic events and games of skill - including track and field, tennis, basketball, horseshoes, darts and billiards.
If you're 50 years old or older, you are eligible to participate in one of 10 age categories. If you're serious about it, now is the time to begin training for swimming, bowling or whatever event interests you.
In Sheridan, clinics, coaching and brushing up in racquetball, badminton and volleyball will begin this month, and other sports will offer clinics soon. Check out the official Wyoming Senior Olympics Web site, www.wyseniorolympics.com, for details and more information, or call State Coordinator Jim Eggenberger at 307-673-0000.
If you would like to volunteer to help or be a sponsor, call Eggenberger, e-mail him at eggy@vcn.com, or write him c/o Wyoming Senior Olympics, P.O. Box 937, Sheridan WY 82801.
