Charity darts match open to all

A bus driver hopes two charity darts matches will raise hundreds for the nurses who cared for his stepson.
Anthony Coe, 46, will host the first event - a doubles competition - at Hemel Sporting Club in Grove Hill this Sunday, March 26, at 1pm.

Anyone who wants to take part can turn up at 12.15pm to sign on. Entrance fees are £2 per person.

Singles matches will take place at the same venue on Sunday, April 29, also at 12.15pm for a 1pm start.

Arriva worker Mr Coe, of Pond Road, Hemel Hempstead, lost his stepson Shane Bolam to cancer and hopes to raise £500 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Professional darts player Mark Walsh will present the winners' trophies on May 23 at the Tudor Oaks Pub in Hemel Hempstead. (story source...)
