Maureen Shepherd, one of the best women darts players in the Caribbean over the last ten years, finally achieved the coveted title of Ladies Singles Champion at the Caribbean Cup.

Shepherd defeated her compatriot Michelle Stephens by two games to one at the Sherbourne Conference Centre last evening to take away the regional title sponsored by Digicel.

It looked as though Shepherd was going to overwhelm her opponent because in the first game of the three, Shepherd powered ahead with scores of 140 and then 100 to leave herself with ample time to check out without Stephens getting close to a finish. "
