DenverPost.com - World Series of Darts

DenverPost.com - World Series of Darts: "By the way, before I forget, if you TiVo'd the World Series of Darts, you need to quit reading this column and start reassessing your life. ...

Catch Jim Armstrong from 6-9 a.m. during 'The Press Box' on ESPN 560 AM. He can be reached at 303-820-5452 or jmarmstrong @ denverpost "dot" com."

I will get started reassessing if you will take another look at the sport of darts and some of it's participants. It's easy to walk into a bar and see some guys having a beer throwing darts at a board and think; "Why would anyone want to watch that on TV?" I would suggest that you take a look at an article written by WSoD qualifier Dave DePriest titled: "Why Televise Darts?" http://www.davedepriest.com/world_series_of_darts.htm

It seems that many articles that I noticed have taken a negative view of the sport and having it broadcast. However I would like to pose the question; Is it a bad thing to televise some of the most accomplished individuals in the world displaying their skills at an internationally recognized sport?
