The Times-Tribune - Players shoot for $1M

The Times-Tribune - Players shoot for $1M: "Kuczynski, a 32-year-old Hazleton Area graduate who runs a garbage hauling business, and Watkins, a 51-year-old maintenance technician from Schuylkill Haven, were two of 16 Americans in the inaugural World Series of Darts in May at the Mohegan Sun casino in Connecticut.

ESPN sliced the competition into eight slickly produced episodes, the first of which premieres tonight at 7.

Is darts the next poker?

Kuczynski can’t see why not.

“From what I’ve seen, there’s going to be a lot of emphasis on the characters,” he said. “It’s not just darts. It’s the people behind it. I think ESPN did a good job of getting that across with poker."
