"15 hour queue for Blackpool darts tickets
WHEN Mark Stokes was last in Blackpool, he sweated buckets as a chicken.
But the darts fanatic was forced to suffer to get hold of a golden ticket – by shivering for 15 hours outside the Winter Gardens.
Tickets for the new Holsten Premier League of Darts competition for 2007 went on sale at 9am yesterday.
But at 6.30pm on Tuesday Mark was settling down for the night wrapped in a swathe of duvets and sleeping bags for his marathon vigil – in plunging October temperatures.
Mark, from Wrexham, North Wales, said: 'It was bleeding freezing and I didn't get a wink of sleep.
'But it was worth it.
