"Major darts competition revived in the district
A WORLD champion darts player is to compete at a major competition, being held in the district for the first time in ten years.
The Cameron Northumberland Darts Open, held in Ashington, is set to be revived in a bid to encourage youngsters to take up the sport.
It is hoped the presence of British Darts Organisation (BDO) world champion, Gary Anderson, at the event will inspire young players to compete.
Organisers at the White House Unique Social Club in Ashington are excited about the prospect of hosting the event once again.
