HEREFORDSHIRE darts star Terry Jenkins continues to make an excellent impression in his first season in the Holsten Premier League.
The Ledbury pitcher has moved up to fourth place in the league after two successive wins and still retains a realistic hope of carrying off the top prize of £75,000 with six weeks gone and more than half of the competition still remaining.
Jenkins has already boosted his earnings by twice carrying off the £1,000 bonus for the top check-out, including a superb 141 in last week's success against Colin Lloyd.
Jenkins had to pull out all the stops to hold off a dramatic revival by Lloyd after seeming set for a comfortable win when he led 5-1.
Herefordshire Sport, Darts ace Terry moves to fourth - From The Hereford Times
TERRY JENKINS produced a sensational finish to grab his second win of the 2007 Holsten Premier League Darts with an 8-5 defeat of Peter Manley.
Jenkins produced his best display in the tournament the previous week to draw with Raymond van Barneveld, and backed that up in style against Manley.
The former Las Vegas Desert Classic champion gave as good as he got during an exciting contest.
