SCHOLTEN LETS POWER OFF THE HOOK

Roland Scholten wasted a glorious chance to inflict a first Premier League defeat on Phil Taylor when 'The Power' scrambled a 7-7 draw in Glasgow, where Colin Lloyd moved off the foot of the table at the expense of Adrian Lewis.

Scholten held 13-time world champion Taylor to a 7-7 draw on the opening night of the Holsten Premier League, and he repeated the result in Glasgow, but this time he came even closer to beating the defending champion.

PHIL STILL UNBEATEN IN PREMIER LEAGUE
23 March 2007

PHIL TAYLOR clung on to his unbeaten record in the Holsten Premier League Darts by snatching a draw against Roland Scholten in Glasgow.

The defending champion went into the night without a defeat in 35 matches in the tournament's history, but was forced to battle for a point for a second time this year against the Dutchman.

Scholten led 7-6 and began the deciding leg of the match with a 180, leaving 81 after nine darts only to waste his opportunity at the finish and leg Taylor in to land double 16 and grab the draw. Unicorn - News
