Shelley Arms A Ladies saw off Premier rivals Cowley Community Centre A 5-4 in a thrilling Morrells ODDA Section 1 clash.
Jane Slade beat Jo Gleed in the opening game, visitors Cowley levelling thanks to a fine win from Denise Byles (180).
Shelley then stormed into a 4-1 lead before Pat Newman pulled one back with victory over Karen Lang, Cowley taking the pairs 2-1.
Blackbird Bar moved into second place with a 7-2 win over General Elliott.
Unbeaten Section 4 leaders Woodstock Arms lost their record at Crown House, whose singles wins came from Atkinson, McHugh, Kelly, Howse and Halliday in a 5-4 scoreline.
