Bob Anderson was the best-known casualty as three of the four seeds in action crashed out on the second afternoon of the world championship in Purfleet.
After Ronnie Baxter's defeat on the opening day, Anderson, 59, was joined in heading through the Circus Tavern exit doors by Mark Walsh and Barrie Bates.
