"So, darts’ great entertainer has bid farewell to the 2007 World Championships. It is incredible to think that we won’t see Wayne Mardle ‘live’ on Sky Sports until the UK Open Finals at the Reebok Stadium in June.
But what has happened to Mr Mardle? There is no doubt the Circus Tavern will be a poorer place without the presence of the showman that is ‘Hawaii 501’…..sadly, he only has himself to blame. Mardle missed five darts to take out Alan Caves in that nail-biting finale, after doing all the hard work coming from two sets down.
