THE Castle staged the Scottish & Newcastle singles play-off last Thursday. After Wayne made the draw the quarter-final results were: John Blaney beat Leigh Taylor 3-1, Ian Pattinson beat Scanner Bone 3-0, Pecker Woods beat Ian Sharples 3-0, and Garry Bellard beat Des Halbert 3-0.
The first semi provided Pattinson with a 3-0 win over Blaney, the second semi needed four games before Bellard beat Woods 3-1.
