They trailed 13-5 overnight after a crushing defeat for the men's B team and, in the words of chairman Peter Melton, "had a real mountain to climb". But a day which started with new champion Martin Adams parading the Lakeside World Championship Trophy ended with the Cambs men's A team clawing their way back to within an inch of an astounding win against a side packed with past and present Welsh internationals.
