'No Guts' gets the glory - VCDA "A Division" Champs

Ventura County Dart Association gets a little local press! It's not often that our league gets press coverage, but it's welcomed whenever it happens. However there is a correction needed as the Awards Banquet and General Meeting is: Jan. 21, 2007, At the Bench Warmer in Ventura.

Bull's-eye! No Guts No Glory, Moorpark's resident dart champions, hit all the right marks during the Ventura County Dart Association's season. Last month, the team finished its 2006 campaign with a 15-3 record and claimed first place for the third time in the last four years. While the squad takes pride in beating other teams, most members agree that they come to play darts at Moorpark Billiards primarily for the company of their teammates and to enjoy a few beers.

The "No Guts, No Glory" darts team is based out of Moorpark Billiards. In nearly any other setting, the group of friends who gathered this Monday night at Moorpark Billiards would be viewed simply as middle-aged men who have a little too much fun—and spend a little too much time at the bar.
