2010 Ontario Senior Games Actifest

Run by seniors for seniors, Oshawa will see the province’s best tennis players, lawn bowlers, golfers and euchre players for two action packed days in 2010. Oshawa will host the Ontario Senior Games Actifest when fit folks 55 plus will have the chance to promote active living among the older adult community in August 2010.“Oshawa is honoured to host the 2010 Ontario Senior Games Actifest,” said Mayor John Gray.“Our world-class facilities and most importantly the people of Oshawa made this event possible.” The 2010 Ontario Senior Games Actifest is a two-day event to be held in August 2010. Oshawa will welcome nearly 1,500 participants, including athletes, coaches and officials. Ontario residents 55 years of age or older will compete in 16 different sports including: golf, lawnbowling, slo-pitch, swimming, tennis, euchre, bocce, darts and five-pin bowling.“The (Premier Dalton) McGuinty government
