Festival of darts March 11, 2009

The 21st Annual Johnny Bogue Memorial Darts competition takes place on Sat 14th Mar, St. Patrick's weekend in Bogue's Bar Clogher. This popular Darts Tourney in memory of one of Clogher Valley's keenest darts enthusiasts continues to attract all the top throwers from all over the North plus many more from the South of Ireland. Last year over 70 throwers took part with the eventual winner Tyrone's Felix McBrearty , who played in the PDC World Darts Championship seeing off the challenge from Justin McGuigan in an epic battle. Despite Felix's hectic schedule he is keen to hold on to his title. Felix is also the current Tyrone Individual Champion. Another previous winner Brendan Dolan is also a regular in the Johnny Bogue Memorial. Brendan he too tasted success with his Big win in the Irish open recently . No doubt previous winners such as Sean Gallagher, Justin McGuigan, Luke "The Spook" plus Hughie Bogue and Noel Rafferty will be out to land the Title. (full article...)
