THIS year's DHL Barbados Darts Fest-ival, now in its fourth year, had a far greater number of participants than previous years and the standards displayed by players from the Carib-bean and South American region showed a marked improvement. Although the final event, the DHL Open Singles at Almond Bay, was won by Andy Bradbury from the UK, all the other quarter finalists in both the men's and ladies' competitions came from the region.

The British touring party had plenty of experienced players of county and superleague standard who were expected to do well in this event but the calibre of the darts now being played in the Caribbean has risen appreciably and this was vividly demonstrated during the course of the entire ten day DHL Festival."
