A benefit will be held this Saturday at the Monmouth Eagles Club for Gary Johnson, a certified nurse's assistant at Monmouth Nursing Home.
Johnson has been a Monmouth resident his entire life and has been a CNA for over 20 years. Lately, he has been experiencing complications due to diabetes. Just recently he had to have a toe amputated. This benefit will help defray medical costs.
The benefit will kick off with a spaghetti dinner where garlic bread and tea or lemonade will also be served. The dinner starts at noon and is by donation. Sign-up for a darts tournament begins at 1 p.m. and starts at 2 p.m. Following the dart tournament, a pool tournament will occur. There is an entry fee for both of these tournaments. Prizes will be awarded for first and second places.
An auction will begin at 4 p.m. and karaoke by Teel Brothers will also begin at 4 p.m. and run until 9 p.m. There will be 50/50 drawings throughout the evening and prizes will be raffled off.
For more information, call Laura Clark or Donna Hager at (309) 734-3811."
