JOHN Longshaw with a 27 32 average led Caernarfon Town Football Supporters Club to a 6 – 2 away win over Dolgarrog Social Club to maintain their challenge at the top of the Gwynedd Mens Superleague.
Carwyn Moss Jones, Trefor Lloyd, Gethin Lewis, Steve Jones and Dylan Roberts were the other winners for the Town side, which sees them, two points behind leaders Foelas Arms who also won 6 – 2 away at the BRI Bangor.David Griffiths and Ron Cox were the successful duo for the Dolgarrog club.
Reigning champions Penrhyn Arms and the Unicorn Dolgellau kept 100 per cent records they have made to their start of the season, with both recording 6 – 2 victories.
The Llandudno title holders inflicting the first defeat of campaign on Wynnes Arms thanks top average performances of Ian Gareth Jones 26.37 and Jim Dorenbos 25.47.
Wil Elphick was the top average man for the Unicorn with a 24.23 effort, as they cruised to a home win over basement side the Foresters, with Steven Lee Williams, Darren Bingham, Jacky Blanks, Keith Williams and Charlie Stimpson adding in their other wins.
Jon Aston with 112 finish and Dennis Williams were on the mark for the Harbourmen.
In other match on Sunday, Wellmans beat the Penrhynside 6 – 2.
THE Holland Arms sit at the top of the embryonic Windowtec Bangor darts league after week two, following their 18-0 victory over the Harp Inn.
Mostyn A lie in second following their bye, and the Union Inn are third following a 14-4 away win at Mostyn B.
Elsewhere, the Buckeley Arms were crushed 1-17 at home by the Bull Inn, and Albion Hotel lost to Bri Club 7-11. Finally, Penrhos Arms drew 9-9 at home to Ty Isaf, and Pant Yr Ardd beat Kings Head 14-4.
