MARTIN Adams reached the quarter-finals of the BDO British Open – the final tournament in the inaugural BDO Grand Prix series – at the weekend.
The Market Deeping legend lost 2-0 to Dutch thrower Mareno Michels in the last eight at The Spa in Bridlington.
'Wolfie' Adams had come through seven previous matches to qualify for the televised stages of an event screened by Setanta Sports.
Adams results: Second round bt Adam Thompson 3-0; third round bt Les Hawksworth 3-0; fourth round bt Mick Lidgett 3-0; fifth round bt Joe Murnan 3-1; sixth round bt Roy Van Der Berg 3-1; last 16 bt Derek Cunningham 3-2; quarter-final lost to Mareno Michels 2-0.
THE Post Office Club plays host to a darts knockout tomorrow night.
Entry costs £3 with registration at 7.45pm for an 8pm start. There is a guaranteed £50 to the winner.
