THERE was a major shock in last week’s Bridgwater and District Men’s Darts League Age Group Singles first rounds as the Blake Riversiders’ Tom Gill came through on a board in the 55 and over category, with several more fancied players on.
Gill’s board included three players that had previously won league singles competitions.
Elsewhere in the 55 and over competition, Brian Bacon of the Prince of Wales won on the Hope Inn board and Flag’s Dave Taylor took the Crown board despite Withy Lions’ Paul Lynch and Railway’s Alan Western both scoring 180s. (full article...)
