MANILA, Philippines - Though very busy with his training for Ricky Hatton, Manny Pacquiao still finds time for leisure.
Pacquiao, trying to hone his dart skills after getting beat by Hatton in London last month, is backing the ongoing $30,000 Pacmania Open Steel Tip Dart Tournament at the Wilshire Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles.
According to Dong Secuya of Philboxing.com, the two-day event lured some 200 players, including touted Americans Darren Young, Chris White, Robert Heckman and Scotty Burnett.
They will be challenged by top Filipino bets Nico Depeños, who copped the singles title, Lito Moises and event organizer Rhen Fuentes.
Also in the planning stages is a tournament in June and a $60,000 event during Pacquiao’s birthday bash in December.
