from the email stack... info reguest.... dartboard purchase...
Q: Hello! I m wondering if you can tell me where I can purchase a tourney dart board.
Thanks for your time!
Sorry for the late reply, but I've been a bit busy getting set for our league's next season, but to answer your question I would have to say that my two favorite choices when shopping for dart products are a-zdarts.com and muller recreational products our league and our team sponsors have both purchased dartboards from these vendors.
From a-zdarts.com we purchased the Eclipse Pro from Unicorn for regular league use (the boards were great and held up well for two seasons), but the price was too high to purchase 28 boards for a tournament (http://vcda.org/GCSO-II.html), so instead we purchased the 180 Gladiator Dartboard because the price was right (there seems to have been a price increase since the date of our purchase). Out of the box there were 3 boards that had factory defects, but that does not seem to be too unusual for large orders. There were no complaints from players during the during the tournamnet. However some of the boards were sold after the tournament and had some problems with several of the boards (click this link to see pictures of the boards problem and read the dart forum discussion of the dartboard) of which I have posted pictures. Granted that others post that they have had good experiences with the Gladiator for the price I would consider other options.
For our most recent purchase of dartboards for our league's play venues we went with the
muller recreational products dartboard:DB-750 - Tournament Razor Dartboard we currently have 4 of them hanging in one of our sponsors venues. The DB-750 - Tournament Razor Dartboard has been up and been available for league (there are at no less than 2 teams playing on these boards one night a week) and public use since January of this year and they show no excessive wear and tear. You can read mine and other darters thoughts on the muller board at this sewa-darts.com (click this link to read the thread).

from the email stack... ADO Region II-2... Regional Qualifier
The next regional is for the US Team where the winners will go on to compete at the National Playoffs in Denver, Colorado in October. The date for the men's regional is set for Sunday August 2nd at 10am for sign-ups and 11am start time at the Fleet Reserve in Poway. I was advised that the management has arranged for food to be available that day, more than likely at their usual $5 a plate, to help support the event.
Please pass the word along to any you think might be interested.
If you need the address or directions, please let me know. Looking forward to seeing everyone there.

Address:
It is on the bottom level of a duplex style office type building, but not too hard to find. If you need additional details, please email me directly.

Nick Spare passed away in his sleep. He leaves behind his wife Elizabeth and son Ethan. Nick was certainly the center of a lot of wonderful memories and circles of friends. I won't be able to attend his services because my mother is ill, but my love and prayers go to his family and friends. Please keep his wife Elizabeth, son Ethan and the rest of their family in your prayers. Nick's mother is not well enough to attend the services, but his father and brother will be flying in from England.
If you would like to make a donation in lieu of flowers, the family has established a trust fund to help pay for Nick's son Ethan's education. If there is not a branch near you...

SEWA-DARTS.COM has launched it's first newsletter....
Might be it will be the last Las Vegas Desert Classics though now Dartoid tells us it will not be the case – here some kind of a review: The Las Vegas Desert Classics For me the Las Vegas Desert Classics though a PDC tournament always were an American tournament – probably because Las Vegas for me is some kind of embodiment of America. Funny enough or might be in the end not really funny is that from my outside view the Americans never really adopted the tournament – the qualifier is still after all those years dominated by the British PDPA players and it never attracted the American masses to watch – it´s really not well known for a lot of atmosphere it´s more the opposite to the Premier League evenings which have got almost too much. Read on here: http://sewa-darts.com/modules.
This year a sporting hero from a totally different kind of sport discovered his liking for darts, Manny Paquino, and he started to support darts with organising tournaments offering quite some price money. It looks there´ll be more of those tournaments called Pacmania. Find out more about Pacmania II and read what is planned in future. http://sewa-darts.com/modules.
A few months ago in England a new darts magazine was published the first time: “We love Darts”. Now already the fourth issue will be on the market and one hears a lot of enthusiastic comments. On SEWA you can find a review! http://sewa-darts.com/modules.
Another a lot discussed publication was Barneys “The Eye Of The Tiger”. Barney’s biography was first published two years ago in Holland. Now one can buy an English version. You can read more about the book here: http://sewa-darts.com/modules.
But that’s not all the SEWA news: Erik wrote a review of A.C.E. Moveable Points (http://sewa-darts.com/
Taechon tells us what he thinks of dart books (http://sewa-darts.com/

Dartoid's World - Wednesday, July 1, 2009
Greetings!
At the end of the first half of the first round of stage play here at the Desert Classic came the match the North Americans were waiting for and in the end there wasn't much to see.
Although Canadian John Part handled Sacramento's nervous Scotty Burnett 6-2 the three-times world champion was far from impressive -
